I want to be honest with you about this: I'm new to business and all that it entails.

My immediate plan for pricing was to establish a $5/mo subscription. However, the most consistent piece of the feedback I've gotten surrounding StrideMaster has been a resistance against subscriptions. And that's something I do understand. It's completely fair to hate subscriptions, and I know that most people have their own reasons.

With the consistency of this anti-subscription feedback, I'm currently considering changing my model to provide outright ownership over the software you download in exchange for an upfront price of $30. If I proceed with this adjustment, anybody who has already made a subscription payment will be provided full ownership of the software for free. Additionally, update support will extend until I release a more expensive version tailored more tightly for director usage and for one year afterward. Beyond this point, I will likely ask for a small annual support fee if you would like to continue receiving updates (purely optional). As soon as I get the proper systems in place, updates will only ever be optional, though I can't promise when this will be. 

If you look at the details on the StrideMaster Beta Contest on the Home page, you may notice that the wording for the rewards has been updated. This is to give myself enough flexibility to be adjusted to either decision I may make. Once a decision has been fully decided, I will ensure that the rewards reflect that decision.

One thing I want to make clear is that in any case, StrideMaster will be accessible for free to anyone for the duration of its beta period (right now). While my initial release date for the full version was intended to be June 9th, 2026, this may be delayed as I work on finalizing my decision regarding pricing, any structural changes that decision may require, and any additional features that I consider necessary before the full release of StrideMaster.
